The Decline turns 15! Pre-order NOFX now!

Holy Shit! Time flies! This Sunday, November 23rd, is the 15-year anniversary of NOFX’s The Decline, one of the longest songs in punk rock history, just edging out the classic “From the Cradle to the Grave” from the legendary Subhumans. To celebrate 15 years of decline, we’ve made a limited edition picture disc with the original studio recording on Side A and and a live version on Side B! Now you never have to ask Fat Mike on Twitter to play “The Decline” live! We’ve also made a classic Decline T-Shirt to go with the picture disc. Oh, and you can also pre-order the Backstage Passport Soundtrack CD (LP will be on sale in January) now too! All orders will start shipping in early December!

R.I.P. BRUISER

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of a beloved member of the Fat Wreck family. On Friday our office dog and official Fat mascot, Bruiser, passed away. You may know her from the cover of NOFX’s 13 Stitches 7" or from pictures with bands on our site. We knew her as a loving, playful member of the office who was always a welcome distraction from work. We’ll miss her cute little face trotting around our desks, her penchant for always making a bed out of yet to be delivered Fat Wreck t-shirts (if you’ve ever found dog hair on a shirt you bought from us, now you know why), her unwavering protection from each and every deliveryman, and, most of all, her loving spirit. Bruiser, we love you, and we know you’ve gone on to join Jim Cherry, Derrick Plourde and Tony Sly in the punk rock beyond.

The Ghost Inside “Dear Youth” Out Today

The Ghost Inside's new album Dear Youth is out today via Epitaph Records. Dear Youth is The Ghost Inside's fourth full-length album and it was co-produced by Jeremy McKinnon of A Day To Remember and Andrew Wade. Dear Youth is available now at all major retailers and online.

Front man Jonathan Vigil explains the concept behind the album in a letter that he wrote to his younger self:

Dear Youth,

I'm writing to you now because it seems I’ve lost my way. I can't pinpoint exactly when it started, but I know that it’s not like it was before. I’ve realized the more time that passes, the more we lose touch. It’s starting to feel like all I ever do now is lose touch with things. But not you, I never wanted to lose you.

I wish I had something to blame it all on, but I don’t. One day I was there and the next I was here. As if I was dreaming and suddenly woken up. These days I'm always wondering if what I've done is enough. It’s getting harder and harder for me to shake this feeling of stagnance.

So old friend I’m writing to ask you what it feels like to have the whole world in your hand? Where we could set out and do anything that we imagined. Endless possibilities way before complacence set in. To be honest with you, I’ve forgotten what that all feels like. There was a wonder about us that has long since faded. That sense of excitement, I miss it.

Dear youth, will you show me again? I need to be reminded of those times, back before this began...

- xx

In theme of the album, the video released for "Dear Youth (Day 52)", featured fan-submitted footage of kids writing out their favorite lyrics from the song. It can be seen here.

After touring all summer on the main stage at the Vans Warped Tour, The Ghost Inside will tour on a North American co-headline run with label mates Every Time I Die. Tickets are on-sale now and show dates are listed below.
