Lady GaGa to host series premiere at midnight, Wednesday night, September 3

NEW YORK, NY – August 28, 2008 – Logo, a division of Viacom Inc.’s (NYSE: VIA and VIA.B) MTV Networks, today announced that singer-songwriter pop sensation Lady GaGa will host the series premiere of NewNowNext PopLab, the new destination for up-and-coming party music in all its forms, on Wednesday night, September 3 at midnight ET/PT.

NewNowNext PopLab is an extension of the NewNowNext Music brand, which has become the go-to destination for fans of LGBT music. What NewNowNext Music is for alternative, under-the-radar music, NewNowNext PopLab will be its pop-glossy counterpart. The show will infuse hits from established icons such as Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Rihanna and Jennifer Hudson with emerging pop sensations of tomorrow including Hercules & Love Affair and The Ting Tings. NewNowNext PopLab will also feature Jono Waks, renowned publicity and promotions juggernaut, in a fine living segment labeled “Candy.” Waks will highlight wild, aspiring gifts that fans must have to reach one step closer to living the life of a pop superstar.

The series premiere will feature singer-songwriter Lady GaGa as host for the anticipated premiere. Lady GaGa recently appeared on the NewNowNext Awards where she performed her addictive debut single “Just Dance” and was nominated for the ArjanWrites.com: Brink of Fame: Song award. Within the past year, she has emerged in the mainstream music scene with her dynamic performances on the Miss Universe 2008 pageant and most recently on Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance. Lady GaGa’s success continues with her debut album, The Fame, arriving in stores October 28, 2008. She will also go on tour with New Kids on the Block in Fall 2008.

With NewNowNext Music and The Click List: Top 10 Videos, NewNowNext PopLab will solidify its position as the only place for LGBT music lovers to stay up to date on rising LGBT talent and music geared toward the LGBT community. Between weekly airings of the show viewers can go to NewNowNext.com, the gay guide to pop culture, to get the latest on music, fashion, television and celebrity gossip. Viewers can also go to LOGOonline.com to watch NewNowNext PopLab music videos and exclusive interviews, listen to pre-release albums, and discover new LGBT artists.
