Dick Clark productions president, Orly Adelson, announced today that Mariah Carey will perform at the 2008 American Music Awards.

Mariah and husband Nick Cannon celebrated their six-month anniversary with their closest friends last night at an exclusive Halloween Eve costume party at New York City's Marquee night club. The pair both dressed as fire-fighters arrived at the nightclub on the back of a fire engine with an escort from New York City's Fire Department.

Later the Cannons changed into a playful costume of Milk & Cookies while Nick spun some of the couple's favorite tunes to entertain their friends. The club was decorated in a festive fashion with lots of balloons, carved pumpkins and other ghoulish figures. The guests were all treated to a spread of a thtiered anniversary cake, candied apples, cupcakes and lots and lots of candy to get everyone into the Halloween spirit!
